CaseViewNet Security
CaseViewNet is one of the most technically advanced interactive litigation programs available today,
supporting both wired and wireless connections. It employs multiple security features to secure your
data stream as well as your realtime file:
CaseViewNet communicates with Case CATalyst over any network connection without any file
sharing or opening of special ports.
CaseViewNet clients receive a personal 1024-bit SSL Certificate signed by Stenograph. All data
transferred between the Case CATalyst server and CaseViewNet is securely encrypted with
AES-256 over the SSL connection established with this certificate. This is some of the strongest
encryption available, often used for Internet banking transactions.
A CaseViewNet password is necessary for any client to access the Case CATalyst realtime feed.
Password controlled user rights limit each user’s viewing and saving of the realtime file.
Passwords are set in Case CATalyst. See Establish CaseViewNet Connection on page 25 for
more information about setting CaseViewNet passwords.
Optional WPA protocol secures and passphrase protects your Case CATalyst wireless realtime
network. The network security passphrase is established during router setup. To add the optional
passphrase security it is necessary to reset the router and repeat the router setup. See Router
Reset on page 37.
