Caveats
Failure copyDeviceBusy
Condition: This issue occurs during a normal operation.
Workaround: This issue is resolved.
• CSCuh13459
Symptom: An enhancement is required for the show logging onboard command so that it displays
clearly denoted CLI output.
Workaround: This issue is resolved.
• CSCug88985
Symptom: A Cisco MDS switch allocates an area Fibre Channel ID (FCID) instead of a single FCID
to a device for a fabric login (FLOGI).
Condition: This issue occurs when one of the conditions is true:
–
The MDS switch is configured with the following commands:
no fcdomain fcid persistent vsan vsan_number
fcinterop fcid-allocation flat
–
The host has a port WWN (PWWN) with an organizationally unique identifier (OUI), which is
in the default area allocation list. The list of OUIs that get an AREA FCID assigned by default
can be retrieved by using the command show fcid-allocation area command.
–
The MDS running Cisco NX-OS 5.2(8b) or lower version.
Workaround: This issue is resolved.
• CSCui40517
Symptom: A Cisco MDS Generation 4 module, DS-X9232-256K9 displays speed as Unknown even
though the port configuration is Up.
Condition: This issue occurs because of a sync loss.
Workaround: This issue is resolved.
• CSCuh27347
Symptom: During an In-Service Software Upgrade (ISSU) or In-Service Software Downgrade
(ISSD), ports that are administratively Up and also in the not-connected state get reinitialized.
Condition: This issue occurs in all Cisco MDS dual-supervisor switches during a normal operation.
Workaround: This issue is resolved.
• CSCug79410
Symptom: When all modules are logically removed from the system excluding the active
supervisor, the modules might not be detected when they are added again. If the modules are
detected, the standby supervisor does not reach the High Availability (HA) status.
Condition: This issue only occurs after a hardware failure with the PM bus on the active supervisor.
Workaround: This issue is resolved.
