Q. I have CiscoWorks SIMS release 3.4.1, how can I obtain the 4.0 upgrade?

A. Cisco does not sell netForensics release 4.0 (SIM One). In order to receive the release

netForensics 4.0 product upgrade, customers will have to purchase a direct support contract

from netForensics. Please call netForensics at 866-525-5666 or contact netForensics at

http://www.netforensics.com/partners/Cisco_Maintenance.asp.

Q. What are the options for existing CiscoWorks SIMS customers for continuity of support

from Cisco?

A. Existing customers can purchase or renew an existing support contract directly with Cisco or

contact netForensics to purchase a netForensics support contract.

Q. Does this End-of-Life announcement include end-of-life support of all releases of the

CiscoWorks SIMS product?

A. Yes. This announcement includes end-of-life of release 3.1, 3.1.1, 3.2, 3.2.1, 3.3, 3.3.1, 3.4,

and 3.4.1.

Q. My customer is running an older release of CiscoWorks SIMS with an active SAS

contract. How can my customer upgrade to latest release, 3.4.1, of CiscoWorks SIMS

that Cisco is selling?

A. Customers with active SAS contracts can still order release 3.4.1 upgrade directly from Cisco

through the CCO Upgrade Tool. However we suggest that you contact netForensics for an

upgrade to netForensics SIM One.

Q. What if a customer does not want to migrate to netForensics support?

A. Customers can continue to purchase support contracts via Cisco, until the time shown in End-

of-Sales and End-of-Life Table 1 above.
