Configuring Devices
This chapter discusses configuring locations and device groups for devices, and detailed instructions on
configuring the different types of devices–CDSMs, SEs, and, SRs. This chapter presents the following

Configuring Locations
Locations are set up in the Internet Streaming CDSM to organize and group SEs into virtual networks
for distribution of content through delivery services. For more information about locations, see the
“Cisco CDS Topology” section on page 2-1.
Locations need to be configured before you can activate SEs and SRs and bring them online in the CDS
network.
To create a new location or edit an existing one, do the following:
Step 1 Choose Devices > Locations. The Locations Table page is displayed (Figure 4-1).
