HP DL320-G5p Server with Intel E8400 3-GHz Processor
The DL320-G5p is a high-performance server platform for today’s unified communications
applications. It supports up to 1000 Cisco Unified IP Phones on a single server and up to 4000
Cisco Unified IP Phones when clustered properly. The required processor is an Intel E8400 3-GHz
processor. No specific memory configuration is required as long as 2 GB of memory is provided. It
is the configuration equivalent of the Cisco MCS 7825-H4-IPC1/CCX1/CCE1.
Table 6 lists the hardware configuration requirements.

Older Servers
Older Compaq or HP servers are still supported by the Cisco Unified Communications Manager
installation process.Following are the previously supported HP server configurations. This
information is provided for reference; most of these models have been discontinued by HP and
can no longer be purchased from HP or its resellers. Please see your local Cisco account team for
information about replacement models and ordering assistance.
HP DL380-G5 Server with Single Xeon 5140 2.33-GHz Processor
This server configuration is identical to the HP DL380-G5 server with a single Xeon 5140 2.33-GHz
processor and 146-GB hard drives, except that this configuration uses 72-GB hard drives and
supports different versions of IP Telephony OS and Cisco Unified Communications Manager. Note
that Cisco Unified Communications Manager 5.0 is not supported on this model. It is the
configuration equivalent of the Cisco MCS 7835-H2.
Although HP has discontinued the sale of its DL380-G5 with Intel 5140 through its normal
channels, the company has created a special part number to be ordered directly from HP United
States to obtain a supported system. The special part number that you should order for a single
processor system is PN 470064-770.
Table 7 lists the components that will ship when you order this system.
