Deleting filters
You cannot delete a filter if it is associated with a logger.
To delete a filter
1. In the Tree pane, browse to System > Shared Resources > Logger > Filters.
2. In the List pane, select the filter you want to delete.
3. In the List pane toolbar, click the Delete button.
Editing loggers
Edit a logger if you want different kind of messages to be logged than the existing ones. For example, you may
want to change the trace levels to log the relevant messages. You cannot create new loggers or delete the existing
ones from the System Console.
To edit a logger
1. In the Tree pane, browse to System > Shared Resources > Logger > Loggers.
2. In the List pane, select the logger you want to edit.
The Properties pane refreshes to show the properties of the selected logger.
3. In the Properties pane, on the General tab view the properties of the selected logger. Except for the name of
the logger you can edit all the other properties of the loggers.
Name: Displays the name of the logger. You can’t change the name of the logger.
Description: Displays the description of the logger.
Use global handler: Select whether the logger should use the global handler in absence of any other
specified handler.
Maximum trace level: Select a trace level from the dropdown list. Messages with the selected trace
level as well as the ones ranked below it will be logged.
