Creating an Attendant Application User for Cisco
Unified Communications Manager 7.x
This appendix describes how to create and configure an Application User within Cisco Unified
Communications Manager 7.x so that Cisco Unified Attendant Console Advanced can communicate
with it via TSP. The application user profile provides the roles and privileges you need to be able to
modify and synchronize information.
To create and configure an Application User, follow these steps:
1. Creating an Application User.
2. Creating a User Group and Assigning Roles to it, page C-2.
3. Adding the Application User to the User Group, page C-2.
4. Adding the Application User to the Standard CCM Super Users Group, page C-3.
Creating an Application User
To create an Application User, do the following:
Step 1 On the server machine, use your internet browser to access Cisco Unified Communications Manager
Administration, and then choose User Management > Application User.
Step 2 Click Add New.
Step 3 Type the following:
User ID (a name of your choice)
Password
Confirm Password (this must match the Password)
Step 4 Select a Presence Group.
Step 5 Click Save to save the Application User.
Note If you are using Active Directory to synchronize with the Cisco Unified Communications Manager, the
Application User profile must also exist in Active Directory.
