Managing SAP Targets
Modifying Telnet Connection Information
You can enable or disable the Telnet connection to the application server and change the default runtime
user.
Step 1 In the Definitions view, click Targets to display the defined targets in the Targets pane.
Step 2 Double-click the SAP Java Application Server target, or right-click and choose Properties.
Step 3 On the SAP Java Application Server Properties dialog box, click the Telnet tab.

Step 4 Use the Telnet tab to modify the following connection information:
Field Description
Enable Telnet connection Check or uncheck the check box to enable or disable the
Telnet connection to the Java application server.
Telnet port Telnet port number used to connect to the Java application
server.
Use credentials of the following runtime
user
From the drop-down list, choose the default runtime user
that contains the credentials to connect to the Java
application server.
Note The runtime user must be a J2EE Admin account.
To view or modify the properties for the selected
runtime user, click the Properties
tool.
To create a new runtime user, click New > Runtime
User.
