Step 9 Choose the Database type from the drop-down list to display the fields for the specific type of database.
Step 10 Specify the information for the type of database that is being configured. The fields that display depend
on the database type.
Field Description
Server Enter the name of the SAP application server where the
database resides.
Hostname or data source Name of the host server or data source for the Oracle or
Generic database.
SID System ID for the server where the Oracle database
resides.
Database name Enter the name of the SAP database that is associated with
the SAP system.
Database owner Enter the name of the user that owns the rights to the
database.
Database source Enter the Data source to connect to the database.
Port Number Enter the Port number used to connect to the database.
Default timeout for activities (seconds) Enter the number of seconds before the activity times out.
The default timeout period is 120 seconds.
