Step 5 Click OK to save your changes and close the dialog box.
Modifying CCMS Alert Polling
By default, TEO retrieves alerts from CCMS and performs discovery on the SAP servers once a day.
You use the Options tab on the SAP ABAP Connection Properties dialog box to modify how often the
SAP connection target retrieves CCMS alerts from a SAP system, how often the discovery of SAP
servers and Monitoring Tree Elements (MTE) is performed, and which CCMS Monitors to use for
discovery.
Step 1 In the Definitions view, click Targets to display the defined targets in the Targets pane.
Step 2 Double-click the SAP ABAP Connection target, or right-click and choose Properties.
Step 3 On the SAP ABAP Connection Properties dialog box, click the Options tab.
Deselect All If all the check boxes are checked and you want to clear all
of them, click Deselect All.
Override Adapter Settings This check box is checked by default. If you want to
override the availability monitoring settings that were
specified for the SAP ABAP Adapter, check the check box
and specify the information in the following fields:
• Availability monitor delay—Enter or scroll to the time
value for how often to contact the server to monitor for
availability (seconds, minutes or hours).
• Connect attempts—Enter the number of times the
server should be contacted before sending a

• Availability DNS suffix—Enter the DNS suffix to
append to the server name, if necessary.
