Chapter 3 Managing SAP ABAP Targets
Creating SAP System Targets
Creating SAP System Targets
Before you can create or run processes in your SAP environment, you must create the targets on which
the processes will run. You use the New SAP System wizard to create SAP system targets, SAP
application server targets and SAP database targets.
This section guides you through creating an SAP System target and the SAP database target. You can
create a target for a SAP system that resides on an SAP ABAP application server or a SAP system that
contains both an SAP ABAP and Java stack. Refer to the appropriate section for instructions on the type
of system you are configuring.
Note The SAP ABAP Adapter requires the dll files for SAP .NET 3.0 Connector for .NET 4.0 on x64 version
3.0.7.0 or higher. Before you can configure an SAP ABAP system target, these files must be installed
on the TEO server.
See Installing SAP .NET Connector Files, page 1-7 for instructions on installing these files.
Creating an SAP System Target—ABAP Connection
You use the New SAP System wizard to create a target for an SAP system with an ABAP connection and
the SAP database that is associated with the system.
Step 1 On the Definitions workspace, right-click Targets and choose New > SAP System to open the New SAP
System wizard.
