Defining SAP RFC Function Activity
Step 7 Complete the required fields that display. Any of the following fields may display depending on the
selected method:
Step 8 Complete the appropriate information in the following tabs:
Target—Specify whether the defined process target should be used or overridden.
Credentials—Specify the runtime user whose credentials should be used for process execution.
Knowledge Base—Select the appropriate knowledge base article to associate with the process.
Result Handlers—Click the appropriate buttons to manage the condition branches on the workflow.
Step 9 Click the Save tool to complete the activity definition.
Field Description
Method name Name of the selected RFC method.
Time out if not completed within Check the check box to enter a time out interval within
which the RFC call must complete. If the RFC call does
not complete within the specified time out interval, the
activity will fail with Failed (Not Completed) status.
Click the time unit link to change the timed out interval
from seconds to minutes.
Maximum number of rows to include in
output table
Enter the maximum number of rows to be displayed in
the results table. The default number of rows is 50.
Sort order Choose the appropriate direction in which to sort the
data that is returned (ascending or descending).
Sort column If the sort order was specified, you must specify the
column to be used to sort the data. Choose the column
from the drop-down list.
Method parameters Displays the parameters for the selected method.
Complete the appropriate fields. For a description of
the selected RFC function method parameters, see the
online help.
