• User Group List
• Class List
You use these Configuration Manager list tools to create ICM users and groups of
users.
• Use the Configuration Manager list, explorer, and bulk tools to also set user
and group access rights to classes of ICM objects and individual ICM objects.
• Use the Configuration Manager’s Bulk Configuration tools to set security
access to multiple data records at a time.
• Use the Script Editor to set security access to scripts.
Defining User Groups
Begin setting up security by creating a user group for each set of users who will
have the same access rights within the ICM system. For example, you might create
separate user groups for:
• Users who can make changes to the network interface
• Users who can add new peripherals
• Users who can change configuration data within each peripheral
Note By carefully defining the user groups you need and assigning the appropriate
users to them, you ultimately make ICM security administration easier to
maintain.
How to view currently-defined user groups
Step 1 From the Configuration Manager’s Configure ICM menu, choose Security > User
Group List. The User Group List window appears.
Step 2 In the Select filter data box, click Retrieve. The User Group List window lists the
existing security groups.
