Task 13: Configuring logging (optional)
The following configuration will enable event logs to be sent to an external logging server (using the SYSLOG
protocol).
n The Log level controls the granularity of event logging. 1 is the least verbose, 4 the most.
n A minimum log level of 2 is recommended, as this level provides both system and basic signaling message
logging.
Expressway-E external logging server configuration requires additional firewall / NAT configuration See
Appendix 3: Firewall and NAT settings [p.42].
To configure a logging server:
1. Go to Maintenance > Logging.
2. Configure the fields as follows:
