Managing Outbreak Filters

The Outbreak Filters page shows two sections: the Outbreak Filters Overview and a listing of current
Outbreak Filter Rules (if any).
In Figure 14-2, Outbreak Filters are enabled, Adaptive Scanning is enabled, and the maximum message
size is set to 512k. To change these settings, click Edit Global Settings For more information about
editing Global Settings, see Configuring Outbreak Filters Global Settings, page 14-12.
The Outbreak Filter Rules section lists the time, date, and version of the latest update for various
components (the rules engine as well as the rules themselves), as well as a listing of the current Outbreak
Filter rules with threat level.

To configure the Global Settings for Outbreak Filters, click Edit Global Settings.
