This equipment generates and uses radio frequency (RF) energy and if not installed and used
properly, that is, in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, may cause interfer-
ence to radio and television reception. This equipment has been tested and found to comply
with the limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits
are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment
is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate
radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction man-
ual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of this equipment in a
residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in which case the user will be required to
correct the interference at his own expense. The user is encouraged to try to correct the inter-
ference by one or more of the following measures:
• Reorient the receiving antenna.
• Relocate the equipment Inter-Tel 5000 Base Server with respect to the receiver.
• Check that the equipment Inter-Tel 5000 Base Server and receiver are not on the same
circuit; the equipment must be powered from an isolated, dedicated AC outlet.
• If necessary, the user should consult the dealer or an experienced radio/television tech-
nician for additional suggestions. The user may find the following booklet prepared by
the FCC helpful: “How to Identify and Resolve Radio-TV Interference Problems.”
