Configure Voice Ports
Note After you change any voice port setting, Cisco recommends that you cycle the
port by using the shutdown and no shutdown commands.
Configure E&M Voice Ports
Unlike FXS and FXO voice ports, the default E&M voice-port parameters are not
sufficient to enable voice and data transmission over your IP network. Because of
the inherent complexities of PBX networks, E&M voice port values must match
those specified by the particular PBX device to which it is connected.
To configure E&M voice ports, use the commands outlined in Table 6-5,
beginning in privileged EXEC mode:
