The 4-port channelized T3 half-height line card LEDs are described in Figure 4-1.

LED Label Color State Meaning
FAIL Yellow Off Off when the line card is working properly. Turns on
for a few seconds during line card power-on self test
(POST), then turns off when the line card is working
properly.
On On when the line card POST fails.
LOOP Yellow Off Off when the port is available for normal operation.
On: T3 Level On when a loopback has been configured at the T3 level,
and the port is not available for normal operation.
Blinking: T3 Level In a redundant pair, the standby line card T3 level
LOOP LED blinks.
On: T1 Level On when a loopback has been configured for any one of
the 28 T1s contained in the DS3 signal.
ALARM

Yellow Off Off when the port is operating normally.
On: T3 Level On when a T3 level alarm condition exists on the
corresponding port.
On : T1 Level On when an alarm condition exists on any one of the
28 T1s contained in the DS3 signal.

Green On On when a carrier is detected at the corresponding
port.
Off Off when a loss of signal (LoS) is indicated.
