Removing an SFP Module or GBIC Module

Figure 17-44 and Figure 17-45 show SFP modules s with two different types of locking mechanisms
being removed.
Step 3 Unlock and remove the SFP module as follows:
• Tab SFP modules—Gently, but firmly, pull the plastic tab to free the locking pin and remove the
SFP module (see Figure 17-44).
Caution Do not twist the tab when you remove the SFP module or GBIC module. Twisting the tab may
disconnect it from the module.
