Installing a GBIC Module
Figure 17-26 and Figure 17-27 show how to install a GBIC module:

Step 1 Attach an ESD wrist strap to your wrist and to the ESD connection socket on the chassis or to a bare
metal surface on the chassis or frame.
Step 2 Locate the alignment groove on the GBIC module.
Step 3 Align the groove on the GBIC with the interface opening.
Note GBIC modules are keyed to prevent incorrect insertion.
