The1-port OC-48/STM-16 Packet over SONET line card uses a single- mode fiber-optic cable with
SC-type connectors.
Warning The long reach version of the 1-port OC-48/STM-16 Packet over SONET line card (product number
ESR1OC48/P/SRP-SML) requires a minimum optical attenuation to avoid irreversible damage to the
receiver.
Table 14-5 lists optical cabling specifications for the 1-port OC-48/STM-16 Packet over SONET line
card.
