Function and Control: The RPC-4 has eight individually
(relay) controlled AC power receptacles that are easily
controlled by sending commands via the unit's EIA-232
control port Note:
For control with a Cisco terminal
server, the RS-232 console port can be jumper
configured to connect directly to a Cisco RJ45 Aux or
terminal server port.
KNOW BEFORE THE BREAKER TRIPS - With True
RMS current measurement and current reporting the
RPC will report how much current in AMPs the attached
equipment is drawing. Further more, the RPC has an
overload audible alarm that will sound when a preset
threshold is reached. Typically, alarming is done when
80% of the circuits capacity is used.
Access: The RPC4’s have a RS-232 port for control and
access. This port can be connected to any terminal
server or and external modem.
The power-up routine to each receptacle is performed
sequentially to minimize power surges.
During normal operation, the RPC-4's circuit breaker
status is "ON". If the circuit breaker status is "OFF," that
indicates the circuit breaker has been tripped.
NOTE: When ordering this product please specify the
country it is being used in. This will determine the
power cord shipped.
