Configuring the Cisco ATA 186

This chapter provides information about configuring the Cisco ATA 186.

There are three ways to configure your Cisco ATA 186:

• Voice Configuration Menu

• Web browser

• Autoprovisioning

Configuration Requirements

The Cisco ATA 186 requires the following minimum settings for network

connectivity:

• IP address

• Network route address (IP gateway)

• Subnet mask

Note To enter an IP address, press the * key to indicate a delimiter (dot). For

example,

192*168*3*1. To hear the IP address of your Cisco ATA 186, after

your Cisco ATA 186 has been installed correctly, lift the telephone handset

and enter 21#.
