Note When calling between two digital modems, you will not achieve V.90. V.90 requires one
digital and one analog modem.
Step 1 From a workstation, open two Telnet sessions into the NAS. One Telnet session is used to simulate the
client. The other session is used to administer and run the debugs. In this way, the debug messages will
not be scrambled into the loopback screen display.
Step 2 Configure the lines to support dial in, dial out, and outbound Telnet connections:

Step 3 From the administrative Telnet session, turn on the appropriate debug commands. Older software might
require the debug modem csm command.
