Cisco Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) Cisco Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) Software is a Cisco IOS 4–23 Software-based feature set that provides key backup telephony functions for the remote branch office if connectivity to the centrally-located Cisco Unified Communications Manager fails (that is, a WAN link is interrupted). During a WAN outage, the Cisco Unified SRST-enabled router provides robust telephony services (including off-net calls to 911).
