Use the ids mfp client SSID configuration command to enable and explicitly specify the status of
MFP-2. To disable MFP-2 on an access point, use the no form of this command.
[no] ids mfp client{[required | optional] }
Syntax Description
Defaults By default, MFP-2 is disabled.

Examples This example shows how to enable MFP-2 for mandatory authentication:
AP(config-if-ssid)# ids mfp client required
This example shows how to enable MFP-2 for optional authentication:
AP(config-if-ssid) ids mfp client optional
required MFP-2 is mandatory for a client to authenticate to an access point.
optional MFP-2 is optional for a client to authenticate to an access point. In this
case both MFP-2 enabled and disabled clients can authenticate and
associate to an access point.
