vtp pruning
To enable pruning in the VLAN database, use the vtp pruning command. To disable prunin g in the
VLAN database, use the no form of this command.
vtp pruning
no vtp pruning
Syntax Description This command has no arguments or keywords.
Defaults Disabled
Command Modes VLAN configurati on mode
Usage Guidelines VTP pruning causes information a bout each pruning-e ligible VLAN to be removed fr om VTP updates
if there are no stations belonging t o that VLAN.
Examples This example shows how to enable pruning in the VL AN database:
Switch(vlan-config)# vtp pruning
Pruning switched ON
Switch(vlan-config)#
This example shows how to disable pruning in t he VLAN database:
Switch(vlan-config)# no vtp pruning
Pruning switched OFF
Switch(vlan-config)#
