udld (global configur ation mode)
Usage Guidelines I f you enable aggressive mode, once all the switch port’s neighbors have aged out either in the
advertisement or in the detection phase, UDLD and Fast UDLD restart the linkup sequence. They can
resynchronize with any potentially out-of-sync neighbor and shut down the port if the UDLD messages
from the neighbor indicate t hat the link state is still undetermined.
This command affects fiber interfaces only. Use the udl d ( int erf ac e co nf ig urat io n m od e) command to
enable UDLD on other interface types.
Examples This example shows how to enable UDLD on all the fiber interfaces:
Switch (config)# udld enable
