show running-config
show running-con fig
To display the module status and configur ation, use the show r unning-co nfig command.
show running-conf ig [module slot]
Syntax Description
Defaults T his command has no default settings.
Command Modes Privileged EXE C mode
Usage Guidelines I n some cases, you might se e a difference in the duplex mode displayed when you ent er the show
interfaces command and the show r unning- config comma nd. If yo u do see a differe nce, the duple x
mode displayed in the show interfaces command is the actual duplex mode that the interface is running.
The show interfaces command shows the operating mode for an interface, while the show
running-config command shows the configured mode f or an interfac e.
The show running-config command output for an interfac e may display a duplex mode con figuration
but no configuration for the speed. When no speed is displayed in the output, it indicates that the
interface speed is configured to be auto and that the duplex mode shown becomes the operational setting
once the speed is configured to something other than auto. With this configuration, it is possible that the
operating duplex mode for that i nterface does not match the duplex mode shown with the show
running-config command.
Examples This exampl e shows how to display the module and status configurat ion for all modules:
Switch# show running-config
03:23:36:%SYS-5-CONFIG_I:Configured from console by consolesh runn
