show power
To display information about the power status, use the show power command.
show power [available | capabilities | detail | inline {[interface] detail | consumption default |
module mod detail}} | module | status | supplies]
Syntax Description
Defaults T his command has no default settings.
Command Modes Privileged EXE C mode
Usage Guidelines I f a powered device is connected to an interface with external power, the switch does not recognize the
powered device. The Device column i n the output of the show power inline command displays as
unknown.
If your port is not capable of suppor ting PoE, you will receive this message :
Power over Ethernet not supported on interface Admin
The show power inline interface | module command displays t he amount of power that is us ed to ope rate
a Cisco IP Phone. To view the amount of power reques ted, use the show cdp neighbors command.
Because FPGAs and other hardware co mponents o n the WS -X4548-RJ45V + and W S-X4648 -RJ45V+E
modules consume PoE, the operat ing PoE consu mption for an 80 2.3af-compl iant mod ule can be nonz ero
when there are no powered devices attached to the module. The operating PoE can vary by as much as
20 W because of fluctuations in the PoE that is consumed by the hardware components.

supplies (Optio nal) Displays the number of power supplies needed by the system.
