To display IP multicast routing table information, use the show ip mroute command.
show ip mroute [interface_type slot/port | host _name | host_addres s [source] | active [kbps |
interface_type num] | count | pruned | static | summary]

Usage Guidelines I f you omit all the optio nal arguments and keywords, the show ip mroute command displays all the
entries in the IP multicast routing table.
The show ip mroute active kbps command displays all the sources sending at a rate greater than or equal
to kbps.
The multicast routing table is populated by creating source, group (S,G) entries from star, group (*,G)
entries. The star refers to all source addresses, the “S” refers to a single source address, and the “G”
refers to the destination multicast group address. In creating (S,G) entries, the software uses the best path
to that desti nation g roup foun d in th e unic ast rout ing ta ble (thr ough Rever se Path Forwarding (RPF) .
Examples This example shows how to display all the entries in the IP multicast routing table:

Flags:D - Dense, S - Sparse, s - SSM Group, C - Connected, L - Local,
P - Pruned, R - RP-bit set, F - Register flag, T - SPT-bit set,
interface_type
slot/port
(Optional) Interface type and number of the slot and port; valid values for
interface type are fastethernet, gigabiteth erne t, tengigabitethernet, null, and
vlan.
host_name (Optional) Name or IP address as defined in the DNS hosts table.
host_address
source
(Optional) IP address or name of a multicast source.
active (Optional) Displays the rate that active sources are sending to mu lticast groups.
kbps
interface_type num
(Optional) Minimum rate at which active sources are sending to multicast
groups; active sources sending at this rate or greater will be displayed. Valid
values are from 1 to 42 94967295 kbps.
count (Optional) Displays the route and packet count information.
pruned (Optional) Displays the pruned routes.
static (Optional) Displays the static multicast routes.
summary (Optional) Displays a one-line, abbrev iated summary of each e ntry in the IP
multicast routing table.
