To enter the redundancy c onfiguration mode, use the redundancy command in the global configuration
mode.

Syntax Description This command has no arguments or keywords.
Defaults This command has no default settings.
Command Modes Global configura tion mode
Usage Guidelines The redundancy configuration m ode is used to enter the main CPU submode.
To enter the main CPU submode, use the main-cpu command in the redundancy configuration mode.
The main CPU submode is used to manually synchronize the configurations on the two supervisor
engines.
From the main CPU submode, use the auto-sync command to enable automatic synchronization of the
configuration files in NVRAM.
Use the no command to disable redund ancy. If you disable redunda ncy, then reenable redundanc y, the
switch returns t o defaul t redunda ncy setti ngs.
Use the exit command to exit the redundanc y configuration mode .
Examples This example shows how to enter redundancy mod e:
Switch(config)# redundancy
Switch(config-red)#
This example shows how to enter the main CPU submode:
Switch(config)# redundancy
Switch(config-red)# main-cpu
Switch(config-r-mc)#
