issu loadversion

To start the ISSU process, use the issu loadversion command.

issu loadversion active-slot acti ve-image-new standby-slo t sta ndby-image -new [fo rce]

Usage Guidelines The issu load version command cause s the standby supervisor engine to be reset and boote d with the

new Cisco IOS software image specified by the command. If both the old image and the new image are

ISSU capable, ISSU compatible, and have no configuration mismatches, the standby supervisor engine

moves into Stateful Switchover (SSO) mode, and both supervi sor engines move into the load version

(LV) state.

It will take several seconds after the issu loadversion command is entered for Cisco IOS software to

load onto the standby supervi sor engine and the standby sup ervisor engine to transition to SSO mode.

Examples This example shows how to initiate the ISSU process:

version is detected to be incompatible.

Command Description

issu abortversion Cancels the ISSU upgrade or the dow ngrade process in

progress and restores the switch to its state before the start

of the process.

issu acceptversion Halts the rollback timer and ensures that the new Cisco IOS

software image is not automa tically stopped during t he

ISSU process.

issu commitversion Loads the new Cisco IOS software image into the new

standby supervisor engine .
