hw-module power
To turn the power off on a slot or line module, use the no hw-module power command. To turn the power
back on, use the hw-module power command.
hw-module [slot | module] number power
no hw-module [slot | module] number power
Syntax Description
Defaults A fter a boot up, the power is on.
Command Modes Global c onfiguratio n mode
Usage Guidelines A fter you enter no hw-mod mod x power c ommand and OIR the lin ecard, the configuratio persists and
is valid for any slot in the chassis it is applied to.
Examples This exampl e shows how to shut off power to a module in slot 5:
Switch# no hw-module slot 5 power
