If the ping test fails (a ping success rate of 0 percent), you see output similar to the output shown below.
Router#ping 192.168.1.1
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100−byte ICMP Echos to 192.168.1.1, timeout is 2 seconds:

ADSL WIC
The Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) WAN interface card (WIC) is a 1−port WIC for the
modular Access Routers such as the Cisco 1700, 2600, 3600, and 3700 Series Routers. The card provides
ADSL high−speed digital data transfer between a single customer premises equipment (CPE) subscriber and
the central office. The ADSL WAN interface card (WIC−1ADSL) is referred to as the Cisco ADSL WIC card
throughout this page.
