4.2.3 Install the Cisco 6260 Chassis
Complete the following steps to install the Cisco 6260 chassis.
Warning Two people are required to lift the chassis. Grasp the chassis underneath the lower edge and lift with
both hands. To prevent injury, keep your back straight and lift with your legs, not your back.
Step 1 Connect a grounding strap to the ESD grounding jack that is located on the top right of the front of the
Cisco 6260 chassis.
Step 2 Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, attach the two mounting aids to the rack. Use two screws for each
mounting aid, as shown in Figure 4-2. The lower edge of the mounting aid lines up with the bottom of the
chassis.
