save system
save system
To save selected system configuration information to nonvolatile memory, use the save system
command.
save system {filename | bootconfig}
Syntax Description
Defaults None.
Command Modes Administrator.
Command History
Usage Guidelines You must save configuration data from the running configuration to the bootable configuration for it to
be retained in the storage router when it is restarted. Configurations saved to a file can be moved between
storage routers and can be restored at a later time.
The following system configuration data is saved:
Monitor and Administrator passwords
Administrative contact information
Network Time Protocol (NTP) server name
Primary and optional secondary Domain Name Server (DNS)
Default location for downloading storage router software
System and cluster name
Management and high availability (HA) interface addresses
Static routes
RIP settings
SNMP settings
CDP settings
Restrict settings
IP address of remote syslog host for logging
Logging table
filename The name of the file where the system configuration data will be written.
This file is stored in the savedconfig directory.
bootconfig Save the current running system configuration to the bootable
configuration, used when the SN 5428-2 Storage Router is restarted.
