To configure the MAC address of the Cisco IP phone, use the mac-address command in ephone
configuration mode. To disable the MAC address of the Cisco IP phone, use the no form of this
command.

Usage Guidelines The mac-address command configures the MAC address of a specific Cisco IP phone to uniquely
identify the Cisco IP phone. The MAC address is printed on a sticker and placed on the bottom of each
Cisco IP phone.
Examples The following example shows how to configure the actual MAC address CFBA.321B.96FA for a
Cisco IP phone:
Router(config-ephone)# mac-address CFBA.321B.96FA
mac-address Identifies a specific Cisco IP phone. The MAC address is typically found on
a sticker located on the bottom of the Cisco IP phone.
