Connecting the 2-Port ISDN BRI Card

Step 1 Conﬁrm that the router is still turned OFF.

Step 2 Connect one end of a straight-through RJ-45-to-RJ-45 cable to the card’s RJ-45

port. (See Figure 3-30.)

Step 3 Connect the other end to the RJ-45 wall outlet.

Caution To prevent damage to the router, be sure to connect the BRI cable to the

BRI connector only, and not to any other RJ-45 connector.
