Connecting the CPU Switch Module
To connect a terminal to the console port on a CPU switch module, follow these steps:
Note Each CPU switch module must have a console port connection (typically to a terminal server) if you are
running a redundant configuration in the chassis.
Step 1 Connect one end of the RJ-45 crossover cable to the serial RJ-45 port (CON) on the CPU switch module
(see Figure 3-7).
