External Connections
This section contains the external connection requirements for the Catalyst WS-C1400
concentrators:
• Administrative interface port: EIA/TIA-232 data communications equipment (DCE) using an
RJ-45 connector (straight-through cables only).
• The WS-C1400 has two line card slots. Each slot can support one of the five optional CDDI and
FDDI line cards.
Following are the optional line cards and their connection requirements:
— WS-X1441: eight multimode FDDI ports using MIC connectors
