Manually Booting the System
RP Interfaces Using the RP LEDs
The Cisco XR 12000 series router uses the Performance Route Processor (PRP2).
Note When not explicitly specified, this publication uses the term route processor (RP)
to indicate the PRP.
The RJ-45 port LEDs on the RP indicate the following conditions:
System and RP status
Which Flash memory card slot is active
Which Ethernet connection is in use
What is occurring on the Ethernet interface
The alphanumeric LED displays indicate a successful RP boot.
