Field Reference
Table K-77 NTP Page
Element Description
Source Interface The source address for all packets sent to an NTP server. This setting might
be necessary when the NTP server cannot respond to the address from which
the packet originated (for example, due to a firewall). The source interface
must have an IP address.
If you do not define a value in this field, the address of the outgoing interface
is used.
Enter the name of an interface or interface role, or click Select to display an
Object Selectors, page F-593.
If the interface role you want is not listed, click the Create button in the
selector to display the Interface Role Dialog Box, page F-464. From here
you can define an interface role object.
Note The source interface defined in this field is a global setting that you
can override for individual NTP servers. For more information, see
NTP Server Dialog Box, page K-176.
