Setting Up EAP Authentication
During EAP authentication, the access point relays authentication messages between the RADIUS server
on your network and the authenticating client device. This section provides instructions for:
Enabling EAP on the Access Point
Enabling EAP in Cisco Secure ACS
Setting Up a Repeater Access Point As a LEAP Client
Enabling EAP on the Access Point
You use the Authenticator Configuration page and the AP Radio Data Encryption pages to set up and
enable EAP authentication. The internal radio and the radio module both have an AP Radio Data
Encryption page. Both pages contain the same settings. Figure 8-6 shows the AP Radio Data Encryption
page for the internal radio. Figure 8-8 shows the Authenticator Configuration page.

Follow this link path to reach the Authenticator Configuration page:
1. On the Summary Status page, click Setup.
2. On the Setup page, click Security.
3. On the Security Setup page, click Authentication Server.
Follow these steps to enable EAP on the access point:

You can configure up to four servers for authentication services, so you can set up backup authenticators.
If you set up more than one server for the same service, the server first in the list is the primary server
for that service, and the others are used in list order when the previous server times out.
