System Hardware Features
The AVS 3120 is designed for AC-input power and has a single AC-input power supply. The AVS 3120
includes the following:
• An integrated Ethernet controller that provides an interface for connecting to 10-Mbps, 100-Mbps,
or 1000-Mbps networks.
• Four 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-TX Ethernet ports with RJ-45 receptacles.
The Ethernet ports support autonegotiate, full-duplex, or half-duplex operation on an Ethernet LAN.

Front Panel Features
The AVS 3120 front panel contains LED indicators. Figure 1-1 illustrates the AVS 3120 front panel.

1 Power indicator. Off indicates no power.
Green when the power supply is running.
3 Compact flash device indicator. Off when
the compact flash device is not being
accessed. Blinks green when the compact
flash device is being accessed.
2 Status indicator. Blinks green while the
power-up diagnostics are running or the
system is booting. Solid green when the
system has passed power-up diagnostics.
Solid amber when the power-up
diagnostics have failed.
