How to Configure Call Home
Sending Call Home Communications Manually
You can manually send several types of Call Home communications. To send Call Home
communications, perform the tasks in this section. This section contains the following subsections:

Sending a Call Home Test Message Manually
You can use the call-home test command to send a user-defined Call Home test message.
To manually send a Call Home test message, perform the following step:

1. call-home test [test-message”] profile name

call-home test [“test-message”] profile name
Example:
Router# call-home test profile profile1
Sends a test message to the specified destination profile.
The user-defined test message text is optional but must be
enclosed in quotes (“”) if it contains spaces. If no
user-defined message is configured, a default message is
sent.
