Ethernetdcc Interfaces
The ethernetdcc interfaces provide the communication path for the in-band message channel OAM
messages between the 10-Gbps ITU trunk card and the CPU switch modules. The ethernetdcc interface
connects the switch fabrics to the waveethernetphy interface.
The naming convention for ethernetdcc interfaces is as follows:
ethernetdcc slot/subcard/port
Each card has one ethernetdcc interface.
Waveethernetphy Interfaces
The waveethernetphy interfaces correspond to the laser on the 10-Gbps ITU trunk cards.
The waveethernetphy interface connects the four waveethernetphy subinterfaces on the backplane side
of the 10-Gbps ITU trunk card to the wavepatch interface on the front panel. The waveethernetphy
interface ITU signal carries up to four 2.5-Gbps physical layer signals. It does not terminate layer 2 or
layer 3 protocol operations.
The naming convention for the waveethernetphy interfaces is as follows:
waveethernetphy slot/subcard/port
Each 10-Gbps ITU trunk card has one waveethernetphy interface.
