Unique-ID
MaverickKey registers are unique ID numb ers that are programmed for use in secure
web content and commerce. T hese IDs, b urned into specific register locations give the
OEMs a method for SDMI (Secure Digital Music Initiative) or any oth er
authentication mechanism.
There is a single 32-bit Unique ID as well as a 128-bit random ID and are laser
programmed at the factory. These numbers can be used to match secure or
copyrighted content with the ID of the 73xx device f or the purpose of transm itting
said information over a secure connection.
The Uniqu e ID i s located at 0x8000.2440. The 128-bit random ID can be found at
0x8000.2700-270C.
System Control Register Descriptions
System Control Register 1 (SYSCON1)
Address: 0x8000.0100, Read / Write
Definition: The SYSCON1 system control register is a 21-bit read/write register
which controls some of the general c onfiguration parameters for the
EP73xx as well as the control an d status of internal peripherals. All
bits i n this register are cleared upon system reset (nSYSRES).
Bit Descriptions:
Keyboard Scan:This four bit field defi nes the state of the k eyboard column
driver. The following table defines these states.
