6.1 Bluetooth Services
Bluetooth wireless technology supports a number of profiles (services) for different
applications. Below lists the profiles currently supported on the 9500 terminal.
Generic Object Exchange Profile (GOEP)
Serial Port Profile (SPP)
Synchronization Profile (SYNCH or SP)
Object Push Profile (OPP)
File Transfer Profile (FTP)
Dial-Up Network Profile (DUN)
You may discover the services by clicking My Bluetooth Places on the desktop of your
computer. Choose the following Bluetooth tasks: "Search for devices in range" or simply
"View devices in range". Click Entire Bluetooth Neighborhood and select the device name
representing the terminal. The services supported on the terminal will be displayed on the
right pane of the window.
Note: The "Serial Port on COM8" is registered as a server port on the terminal by default,
and can be accessed only when the connection is initiated by the computer.
