HOW TO UPGRADE FIRMWARE
USE USB VIRTUAL COM
1) Use the provided USB cable to connect RFID Reader to the USB port of host computer.
You will need to install USB cable driver first.
2) Refer to
Using HyperTerminal for connecting with USB cable.
3) Issue “#@sys_dlfw=0” or “#@sys_dlfw=2”command.
4) End HyperTerminal.
5) Run the download utility “ProgLoad.exe” on the host computer.
For the communication settings, select
“RS-232/IrDA” and the correct COM port for
Direct USB Virtual COM interface.
Ignore the baud rate setting.
For the file option, click [Browse] to select
the target file e.g. U1860V*.SHX for
firmware update.
Click [OK].
6) After upgrading, RFID Reader will restart automatically.
